Communications
The Communications Department is responsible for managing and facilitating internal and external communication processes. Its primary goal is to ensure effective communication between the organization and its various stakeholders, including employees, customers, patients, the media, and the public.
Key functions of a Communications Department include:
External Communication: Managing communication with external stakeholders, such as customers, patients, the media, and the public. This includes crafting press releases, managing social media accounts, and handling public relations.
Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure positive coverage and manage the organization's public image.
Crisis Communication: Developing strategies and messages to handle and mitigate any crises that may affect the organization's reputation.
Brand Management: Ensuring consistency in messaging and representing the organization's brand in a positive light.
Content Creation: Developing written, visual, and multimedia content for various communication channels, including websites, newsletters, social media, and more.
Event Management: Organizing and coordinating events, such as press conferences, product launches, and external promotional activities.
Strategic internal communications: Ensuring that information flows effectively within the organization. This involves keeping employees informed about company news, policies, and updates

There are three types of WCHS business cards available at this time, WCHS individual, WCHS departmental, and WHF individual. The form should help direct you to the correct card for you.
Departmental Business Cards: This version is recommended for any appointment-based services or teams. This will ensure longevity for the patient when reaching out with questions or rescheduling concerns moving forward.
Individual Business Cards: This is recommended for admin, managers, and all non-clinical personal.
Winnebago Health Foundation Business Cards: This version is recommended for the entire planning and development team.
Business cards MUST be ordered by managers/supervisors for existing or new employees. To place an order, please click here to complete the request form.

When videoing or photographing patients or staff for materials for outward-facing media, both a release and authorization must be signed.

The Branded Fax Cover template should be used for any faxes sent on behalf of WCHS. Employees will follow the instructions below to set up this cover page for every day use when sending a faxes.
Purpose of a Fax Cover:
Fax covers provide the receiver of your fax with your information, they serve as an introduction to the fax they are receiving from you.
They don’t print out in color.
Many organizations require that anything you send their way is appropriately faxed with the fax cover included.
